- Bugs Fixed & Improvements in 1.88
- =================================
-
- Processing of images should be faster as the image loader has been optimised
- a lot. However, a result of this seems to be that pages that use tables to
- a large extent for page layout may not renderer correctly all the time.
- (in 1.88beta1). Native non-baseline JPEGs caused crash in this code
- (fixed in 1.88beta2)
-
- BookMarks directory now created in the correct place (and not in the
- current directory!) (in 1.88beta1)
-
- If you chose to reject truncated documents or a truncated image arrived,
- everything crashed. This is now fixed. (in 1.88beta2) It may have
- affected people using Yahoo particularly badly as it always seems to
- send documents shorter than the Content-Length that it sends.
-
- I've discovered and fixed the problem that caused some DejaNews and
- AltaVista hits to be unclickable. Basically, any hypertext with a
- trailing space that occurred within <pre> wasn't hyperising anything.
-
- SMTP client more picky about throwing away illegal query strings
- attached to mailto URLs before sending them to remote servers.
-
- Spurious entries in the bookmark listings are now filtered out
-
- Right-alignment should work consistently now. Beforehand, the right align
- was imposed before any left indentation was applied, so the right aligned
- objects disappeared off the right edge of the document.
-
- Dragging incomplete URLs to the icon bar icon won't result in
- local://<Wimp$Scrap> being accessed if the dragged data starts
- with www.
-
- Frames are enabled by checking the option in the Browser configuration
- window. The default is to enable frames (but this will only affect
- new users - existing users will have to enable them explicitly)
-
- FTP client builds directory listings more being careful to escape
- nasty characters.
